Approaches to the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI) are shifting across research and practice: From fragmented fields of cultural heritage towards versatile sectors of postindustrial growth that support innovation and transition of societies. New fields of research point to CCSI as ecosystems as multi-actor ecologies that operate through local artistic, cultural, creative, and industrial "DNA" as well as their continuous renewal of practices.

Our research focuses on the resilience and revitalisation of local culture, stories, and experiences. We explore the CCSI's potential for innovation ability to impact change and sustainable transition of cultural and creative practices, for learning and impact within a holistic understanding of complex societal challenges. Thus, as emphasised by the New European Bauhaus, the central drivers of the triple transition are green, digital, social.

Our multidisciplinary approach draws on cultural studies, impact studies, digital heritage, creative clusters and n-helix'es. Our work is anchored within regional partners as well as larger ecosystems on European scale through the European Innovation and Technology Cluster for Culture and Creativity (EIT C&C). This contributes to social innovation, circularity, and regeneration as well as to new experimental services and organisations.
